I have been able to go to my very own "team of experts" to learn about best practices, new ideas and theories, and simply to gather data (informally) about how others have handled challenges related to e-Learning, especially as applied to healthcare. This benefit has enabled me to support my suggestions when presenting them to management(or to modify them based on new information). Finally, it's just nice to "connect" with others who share my interests. With regard to recreational or personal social media, I follow some very humorous people, and the laughs I get every day provide unmeasurable benefits to my health and well-being! Governments wish to control us and with social media we are actually able to express ourselves and have a voice. It means that people power is very much alive and kicking. We all have a voice and an opinion and we can make oursleves heard. The other benefit for me is to notice that there are so many like-minded people out there. It really does show that we are all the same. Lastly it shows that we all have a personality. Underneath the corporate mask there are real people and social media shows that very abundantly.
